Environmental Farm Plan

Environmental farm planning enables Manitoba to be a producer of safe, high quality food in a sustainable manner. Since 2004, Manitoba has offered the Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) as a voluntary assessment tool for producers. Environmental farm planning helps farm managers identify agri-environmental assets and risks, develop an action plan to help mitigate risks, meet sustainable marketing requirements and access agri-environmental cost-share programming.
In order to be eligible for the SAM or RALP Program, you must have a valid EFP.

These include practices that enhance provision of multiple ecological goods and services (EGS), which are the environmental benefits that result from the physical, chemical and biological processes of a healthy ecosystem.
